Tompkins Community Weavers

The Tompkins Weavers started in 2009 on a Union loom. We have since acquired three more looms to demonstrate different weaving techniques.

Our main focus is teaching the techniques of fiber arts from long ago. Our members share their knowledge in sewing, knitting, crocheting, crewel, embroidery, candle wicking and quilting.

The weavers meet in the museum’s lower level on Tuesdays from 10am-4pm. If you are interested in joining us in learning and sharing, call Sharon at 517.569.3536 or Kathy at 517.569.9965.
